Technology is the easy part. The business is the work.
Betters Agency is a small consultancy in Maplewood, Minnesota, run by people who have decades of combined experience doing this work, not managing it from a distance. We implement Dynamics 365 solutions, customize Power Platform apps, build the modules and integrations that extend them, and put Copilot and automations to work on top. Then we stay close enough to see whether any of it actually gets used.
Our story
Why the agency exists
I started Betters Agency out of love for technology and building long-lasting relationships with great people.
Ever since I was young, back when dial-up was still a thing, I knew technology would be a big part of my life. But the path there was not a straight line.
Early in my career I started a small family insurance agency. Running it, I saw firsthand how fragmented systems and fierce competition put independent operators at a disadvantage. Fixing that from the inside is what pushed me toward technology in the first place.
That move led me to manage an Automation Center of Excellence for a multinational corporation, where I implemented business process automations supporting over $4B in revenue. Along the way I have also worked in retail management, construction, and lighting, all of them process-driven businesses.
Now I run Betters Agency, doing for other growing organizations what I once needed for my own.

The relationship is the project
We stay close to the people who use the system, not just the people who bought it. The person who scopes your work is the person who does it.
Process before software
If the underlying process isn’t one you’d want to scale, automating it just makes it fail faster. Sometimes the honest answer is to fix the process and buy nothing.
The right tool, not our tool
We’re a Microsoft partner and our deepest work is in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. We’re still not a single-vendor shop. If UiPath, Make.com, or n8n is the better answer, that’s what we’ll tell you.
No black boxes
Everything we build is documented and supportable by someone other than the person who wrote it. You should never be hostage to your consultant.

Derek is our AI digital assistant, and he is very upfront about the AI part. He works every hour of every day, he has never once asked to leave early, and he has strong opinions about tidy data.
His job is triage. Derek reads every question that comes in, answers the easy ones on the spot, and gets the ones that need a real brain to Nathan or Christian before they go cold. Think of him as a front desk that never goes to lunch and never loses a message.
